Mine crumbled to dust and while I *think* I can still plug/unplug just the clips of the two wires on, I'd rather splice in a new/different plug. Anybody know how to get one?
All my online searches come back with the coolant level sensor for the bottle, but no replacements for the plug

Get "the tank" from RMW and be done with plastic and that sender.
They use new pressure caps and a better sensor.
You need to cut off the old connector for use with the RMW tank |

Vans typically have 4-8 of those same 2 pin female connectors. If you have a self-serve parts yard you can get one from the brake fluid cap switch on many VWs. That is a fairly protected spot so the connector stays nice and is easy to grab.

I've checked 3 different online shops and just 2 spade terminals and the terminal housing are running approx. $10 + 17 shipping. How does it cost so much to ship something that collectively is the size of my thumbnail!?? LOL!!
If anybody has a coolant sensor housing they can spare, plz cut me off a good 4-6" of wiring and ship it out. I'd be happy to pay, just not $17 in shipping Otherwise, time to scrounge around the CO scrap yards. Thinking at least an 80s Jetta or Golf would have similar parts. _________________ '83.5 Westfalia Camper - SOLD

Consider this thread CLOSED. Successfully!!! I hit the trusty scrapyard and found what I needed plus a spare. Total $4 vs. $54 ($27 each x 2)... What a bargain for putting on the coveralls and mixing in a bit of elbow grease!! These came of an '88 Jetta and an '85 Golf, respectively. One had a crack in it, so it will be the spare.
