[quote="FNGRUVN"]We just got back a few hours ago so I'm pretty tired, but here's a few to start with. I'll post the rest later.

This was my first SDM. Thanks to everyone involved for showing us such a good time. Add a another addiction to my list.

All terrific posts. Loved the pictures. I vote this one best pic on the thread so far .

I do appreciate all the fine and performing Syncros and might try to attend next year.

I did notice Syncros and Westies dominating the scene.

Are your basic plebeian 2WD (Wolfsburg) allowed ? (not on the obstacle course, naturally)

Thanks for all the great pictures, everybody

Good times, already looking forward to next year's event, even if it might not be called "Syncro de Mayo"... Be assured that the same group of volunteers will be organizing and putting on this event regardless of what you may hear.
All of the activities and more will continue, I personally would like to thank all the vendors who participate to make this the premier Syncro event. It's the vendors that keep our beloved rides going. Thanks!

Long live the "Syncro Cup"!

Yeah, I have read that the OG guy is gonna run the event this year. I hope that they keep the same style format as last year, I really enjoyed it.

The OG guy was trying to take over the event, now he wants to do his own event and call it SDM. You most likely will see two separate events held on or around the same time. Problem is that some might be confused, there might be two SDM's... which one should I attend?

It seems that the OG guy wants to profit by our success and take it all for himself. Rolling Eyes

You'll probably see more as this develops...

Count me as being one of them at this point. I was so looking forward to driving out to "thee" 2011 Syncro de Mayo (it being my first SDM). Can more light be shed on this story for those of us who aren't in the know? Eh?

Look for an official posting here very soon. You definately want to attend the event with the "Syncro Cup", this year's cup competition will be awesome. If you missed it last year, we had a Technical quiz, a parts identification quiz, and an obstacle course. We have a surprise event this year, you guys are going to really like!

Stay tuned!

This is just too weird. I was just corresponding with the 'OG guy' and there was never any mention. Shocked

The original/current SdM should retain that name. Any pretender other events should call theirs something else. Rolling Eyes

I love seeing all the pics and videos from this event. I hope to attend some day regardless of who is in charge.

While looking through one of the links I noticed some really cool rear sliders here: http://dbartisan.smugmug.com/VW-Vanagon-Syncro/Syncro-de-Mayo-2010/12145578_YmaAw#863857116_BW5Ds

Anyone have info on these?
