50 IDF?

I was reading on this site http://genuineweber.blogspot.com/ and it mentions a 50 IDF. Anyone know anything more?

I have read about these mythical 50 IDF carbs back in the early 90's in some euro/tuner magazines and on various forums. I also remember seeing it listed in a couple of my Weber manuals. I for one have not seen an offical ad for it nor an ad for a used one.

It seems like there are more people that have stories of seeing bigfoot than these carbs.

Weber made lots of different veriations of the IDF crab for many different vehicles. A lot of them will not work on VW engines.

50 IDF is available as a throttle body from Weber, check Redline or Pierce Manifolds.
