the bay window bus owner, that I believe resided up in Idaho, and had a long thread about choosing an engine builder and engine combination?? I thought his avatar was "Go-Westy" or something close. I think he had picked a turn-key 1776 from Chico Performance Engines here in So-Cal. I am currently on short term active duty and thought I would look into this, but I have limited time on a computer. This thread was about six months ago and was either in the Bay Window Bus section or the Performance Engine section. Thanks, Bill |

Thanks SGKent, but no it is not the thread or the car owner. The particular thread was quite long, being a number of pages, starting with his bus being at a shop with possible terminal engine issuses, til the good folks here at "the samba" re-assured him with numerous ways to get his ride back up and running. He had some issues with a particular shop that was not close to home but still in Idaho, if I recall. The consensus was to enlist Chico at Steelbuggin, here in Arcadia, Southern Calif, to build him a turn-key 1776. I will have to spend more time at the computer and look for this thread. Tryed the search feature but did not find what i was looking for. Thx again, and will see you later. Bill |

Thanks Vwman55. That is the thread. Would really like to know how this project is comming along. I have not bought anything from Chico, but would strongly consider buying components that I may need, as he is frequently in the classifieds. Bill |

I have no info on that thread but I should be getting my 1914 TM10 plus from Chico in a few weeks. I will probably not get it installed until the end of the month but I will post then to let everyone know how it went. _________________ Ken
