I have dual weber 40 IDF, and have gas leaking into the case, as well as out of the carb outside the engine, I have checked the float, the float setting, and when I turn the carb top upside down, the float seat and needle seat enough that I cant blow air past it. The float is set at about 8mm at top, about 28 at droop, I have submerged the float in water for an hour, and it floats right up, feels light. The car is parked slightly uphill in my driveway, but nothing extreme, though the gas tank is probably higher than the carbs. At this point, the only thing I can think of is maybe the gasket between the carb top and the carb body? It feels dried out, and like it has been compressed a lot. Would this cause this leak? Any suggestions? I suppose the needle could be worn out enough that with fuel up against it, due to gravity being parked uphill it might leak ever so slightly? Over 3 days tine, it has filled the crankcase enough that it will soon overfill out the dipstick tube.

WTF thats not good, you mean its dripping past the throttle plate, past the valves, past the rings and into the case. do you know which carb is leaking? try setting the floats to 12 - 11mm from the top, and replace the carb top gaskets. Make sure its the carbs and not the fuel pump leaking from the diaphram.

change your oil before you drive anywhere

I dont think its the pum[ diapharm. becase its leaking outside the car as well, I will set the floats and see if that changes things.
