For luggage rack utilization I'm pleased with this, the table with 4 stools and a 2 1/2 gallon Rotopax gas can held in with a Lashlok,

We have that same table with the built in seats, it's available for trade (beer) if your local in Co.
We've switched to the REI roll table |

Nice setup - can you provide a link to the table and stools you are utilizing in this rig? - Also, All I can find is rotopax 2 or 3 gallon tanks - I don't see a 2.5 size listed?

U could do a quick search but i mentioned earlier to hit parts yard 4 honda crv'maybe other models. In rear, it's actually the cover 4 the storage compartment but it's a nice sturdy table with folding legs. I wouldn't say table in case they're not yet trained. |

lodcomm, sorry it is a 2 gallon, figure if I run out of gas farther than that from a station I really messed up! The table is as earlier linked from amazon,
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CLHMWW/ref=wl_it_dp_o...k129040-20
Shows as unavailable right now,
Gotta orient them right, it was so satisfying when i flipped the table over and it all just dropped in, such that I had to take a pic and put it on samba. _________________ 84 westie 2.2 w/ digijet, AT |

I found this table on e-bay - it looks to be essentially the same as the unavailable table from amazon. it lists the folded dimension at
40cm x 90cm (15.8" x 35.5") is that the same dimensions as the one you have? I want to be able to store the table and the 2 gal (15") rotopax in my luggage rack as you show in your pic.
Someone here posted the dimensions of the luggage rack as 20 x 46.5
it looks as though the ebay table at 35.5" + the 15" rotopax = (50.5") exceed the available width of the luggage rack?
thanks

^^^^^There's a "2 stool" instead of a "4 stool" version available on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/World-Outdoor-Products-Suitc...and+stools
The thing you have to be careful about with these particular tables is that the top surface ISNT ALWAYS CONSTRUCTED OF ALUMINUM. Most of these tables have a "composite" top that looks like aluminum but isn't. So, not safe for hot pots, rain, etc and generally not as durable.
I've been super happy with my Rio aluminum roll top table now for a couple years: http://www.amazon.com/Rio-Adventure-Compact-Expand...ping+table
Cheaper if you google it, but other brands often have a bar under the table that you can hit your knees on. That, and the fact it adjusts to two different size tables and you can put hot pots on it, is why I went with the Rio. Oh yeah, and it packs down super small. _________________ 1990 Multivan - "Ohana"

That's not the same table, legs are different so may be too wide, bummer.
And true mine does have a composite top, but suits our needs well, _________________ 84 westie 2.2 w/ digijet, AT |

UPDATE: I placed the order for the $65.00 + $3.99 shipping table i linked to above on e-bay. shortly after, I received an e-mail from the seller whining that they made a mistake on the shipping charge, and that I needed to send them another $110.00! - I simply asked them to cancel the order.
Looks like I will be getting the Slightly smaller one from amazon I linked to above - and will be able to fit the table -and- gas tank into my luggage rack after all.
cheers!

REI Outlet is offering 25% off an item through July 17th which makes that table $50.80...

More tables...

Hmmm, the 43" version ships free, the XL (55") version gets a $20 shipping charge unless you ship it free to a store for pick-up which is what I did.
Enjoy... _________________ - Jim

Thank you for that! Just bought one. (My fold-up camp table was broken beyond repair in an unfortunate Girl Scout cookie sales incident.) _________________ Joe T.

I just measured one from wife's crv: 26 by 32 stands 24"' tall. The folding 2 sect legs lock into place, very sturdy table, no wobble. |

I also have the Alps Mountaineering table. Clever folding leg design. Is holding up well and cleans us easily, fits in a bag and sets up quick. Looks good too. The little plastic end caps on the table slats keep popping out and it may be getting slightly more wobbly than when new but I don't baby it.

need to buy a folding camping table that would fit hopefully on top of the luggage area on my westy. any recommendations? |
The inside of the over-the-driver storage area is 19-plus inches by 45-plus.
If there'd a table anyone has found that's 42 inches (plus or minus a little) by 18, with a hinge down the length so it comes out 36 by 42 or so-- it would be ideal. Anyone seen something like that? |

I've been happy with this guy. Fits in the rack, pretty light and it's strong enough that I stood on it once (albeit, nervously). I keep a double burner stove and a 6 gallon water jug on it, there's still some room left for prep, supplies, etc. The adjustable legs are really great though, didn't think much about it before I got it but now I just put the table where I want it, rather than having to find a level-ish spot. I'll be getting a 2nd one when the next sale comes along. Which is hopefully soon, I've got a knack for finding stuff I like that's juuuuust being discontinued.
