Regarding the ALPS Mountaineering table:
I always thought it was a bit flimsy, and my fears were realized when a member of our Syncro Solstice late-night crew somehow lost his balance and fell into it. The impact bent one of the legs so badly that when I tried to bend it back, it broke clean off.
I returned it to REI, but because I bought it from the outlet and neglected to use my member number, they wouldn't exchange it.
I called ALPS and asked the very courteous lady if they sold replacement legs. They had them in stock, for $15 . I paid over the phone and received it three days later.
So, it's not the strongest table, but the company stands behind their product. The table with its new legs worked fine for us on our long trip this summer. Consider me sold. _________________ Joe T.

This one is the best I have used after dabbling in the outdoor market table offerings.
Custom built stainless table built by Vanagon Life. Folds flat and slides under matress.
Last table we will ever buy.

It was custom. Fairly simple to build with a decent fabricator/designer. |

I've got two of them - been very happy with them for the price (especially when you wait out for a 20% off coupon), I've thought about getting a 3rd actually. They fit nicely in the top rack. _________________ '82 Westy - Shark Weak |
