Can anyone with one of these power sockets on the exterior of their T25 confirm that a standard caravan female coupler will plug in to it? Reason I ask as I would like to make a longer lead you see, but here the cost of these Defa plugs is shocking, and if a female caravan couple will fit, job's a goodun.

Male plug on my Syncro.. (Not visible is the notch near the large round pin).

I'll answer I don't know Think

but from looking at the images I'd say those 2 won't slide together. the sheathing on the Male plug won't slide over the housing of the female. especially where the lid hinge is molded in. Speak to the hand

doesn't mean that with a little work with a steel file they won't mate, but I dunno,

Thanks, the male circumference is supposed to slot into the female plug. As to the hinge, there is a good gap at the side, as the flap hinge is not moulded to the plug itself, but a bracket branching from the base, which is turn will allow a female of this type to be plugged onto the male. I just would like to know if this would fit for sure before I splash out my money.

Those are the old style DEFA connections. Get the new ones, they are much neater:

On the car it will look much better and can be mounted flush.

You can also buy accessories to expand your DEFA system to include battery charger, cockpit heater (electric fan), and digital timer.

Cheers my friend, thats certainly a good idea, and I like the idea of flush fitting. So what your saying is I should in theory be able to plug and play between old/new type?

Im aware of the Defa accessories too, and already planning on getting an cabin heater with timer. Cool

In my doka thers a DEFA system with digital timer, cabin heater and charger. It´s not connected though and I don´t have the block heater. Must get my priorities right! The DEFA system is definately worth every penny!
