Hi everyone. Does anyone know if the DA6 and BA6 share the same internals, as in the combustion chamber? I just purchased a used unit that is missing the ID tag, however he glow plug is clearly a BA6 gasoline type. Curious if I can transfer parts between the two or if they're different. Thanks!

I have a complete DA6 available here if you need a parts comparison. Post pics of the items in question.

Thanks however It's going to be difficult to do so for a couple days. The part I'm questioning is the internal furnace chamber. They look very similar, but I need time to put mine side by side with the one from my van. It's packed in storage.

Are you trying to restore yours? The PO mentioned he could not start the van after running his da6 so we’ve never used it. I’m wondering if I can take the guts out and use the airways for a modern webasto.

Yes, trying to restore mine. The outer casing rotted from a mouse nest. I just purchased one in the classifieds here...but it's a gas unit even though it was advertised as a diesel unit. I'm trying to find out if the guts are the same before I send this one back.

And you probably could take the unit out and use the ducting for a modern unit. I don't recall seeing that done, but it seems like somewhere on this site everybody's tried everything!
