Pass Corner:
Wow, I can't describe how much I couldn't wait to fix this thing. I had to fab up the seam tyhat someone welded over. After welding, the seam pulled a little due to shrinking. The pics show this and I plan on fixing it. I welded the seam together on the middle of the backside of the lip. In hindsight, if you are not using an actual spotweld gun, the welds need to be closer to the inside of the seam so they cant pull apart as easy...

Got this clip for free, cant complain, thx Mark!
The clip is still caked with paint and bondo, so the pics are decieving. Hit it with primer to look at it in one color. |

Thank god no one attempted to weld this regular bus vent in. This clip I got from a samba member and cut it off myself. Got the seam for this one!

Some shrinkage at the welds, but a low spot is better than wavy high warped spots.. |

Amazingly, the jack supports are great, all outriggers are wasted. I have all new ones and a new frame crossmember. The top hat filled with water for many years inside the treasure chest rot, and ate sideways thru both main framerails. All pitted frame areas are getting patched before the new outriggers go in. The pass inner main frame rail has a hole that was hidden by the outrigger the size of a quarter. Just goes to show you that the front floors are not the only thing that indicates rust. Probably had nice window and door rubber, but salty Chicago roads?

I found a great way to recycle used appliances! Found a dishwasher behind my new house and chopped the sides out of it....

Haha, no, it was just the sand paper part of a flap disc. It healed up quick with no infection. I just glued it back together to stop the bleeding. I did think I was gonna have to get stitches, but when a chunk gets torn out, there's nothing to stictch!
