Hello All,
I hope all is well.
Keeping the Empi Sportster alive is my goal. Need to find more weekends to just get out of Dodge.
Let's see some updates on your rides and new projects.
You guys be safe out there.

I was told this was an Empi Sportster, but am wondering if maybe a Burro? It was my Dad’s from the 70’s who turned wrenches until he died at a young 57 in 2009. I have a lot of wonderful childhood memories in it and am redoing it so my kids can too - and have a connected to their grandpa. Thanks!

After a failed attempt to purchase, seller sold it to someone after me buying it.
I found a nicer one, closer to home and it runs!
Title as a 1969. |

I recently traded for a sportster.
I let my BMW 2002 project go and got the Sportster in return.
and it its heyday:
I do have some questions if this thread is till active. Any ideas what I can use for a windshield seal?
I'm going to need to take this buggy apart. I have a set of new pans. Were these things usually welded to the pans or bolted?
I'm working on a Bus restoration that takes precidence. But I'm guessing this can get done pretty quick once it gets rolling. Its a very simple machine.

I love the simplicity of the build.
Restoration would be something even I could attack.
Have Fun.
I even love the original color |

It's Not a Sportster, but it is a home-brewed special.

Looks like a great project to get back on the road. A lot of similarities and some angles are shared.
Get it going and make more memories.

Dusting off the thread, been working on to many projects but with the pandemic behind us and winter coming I hope to have projects rolling at least. My Sportster needs a little TLC for sure but look forward to driving after winter.

I can't believe I haven't posted for a while, winter put me in a slumber for sure.
Now Spring is in the air, lets see some new pics for 2023. I plan to get my Empi Sportster and Chimp to the El Prado show and possible Empi Open house this year.
Cross your fingers.
