68 rear popouts: is there anything that holds the alum channel {that is on the glass} to the "hinge post"? Mine has the rubber seal that goes from top to bottom, When I removed the popouts there was a caramel colored plastic like powder in the post channel. There is a groove in the aluminum window edge, 3 slots in the rubber seal and the threaded portion of a screw in these slots, pointing to the rear of the car. Were there some kind of clips in there? _________________ Licensed Automotive Service Technician

The powder is what remains of the quarter window hinges.
They are plastic/nylon, 3 per side.
