my father passed away many years ago, he was a hoarder and i still have one shed to go thru. this was found in the last shed i cleaned out and i rather like it. lost the grill emblem in a ferocious headwind meeting a truck, saw a silver thing fly by and ayup, it was the emblem. needed to find a suitable replacement and voila, the shed provided.
before anyone gets their knickers knotted up, this is an UNissued survey marker as evidenced by the lack of altitude stamped in the center circle. every staked survey marker is stamped with the altitude at that location.

Pretty neat. Was your dad involved with the Surveying industry? _________________ '90 Westy / automatic.

not at all... he taught auto mechanics if you can imagine that. but he did always like brass/bronze stuff like bells, animals, vessels, etc. _________________ -dan

Keeping dad benchmarked nearby seems like a good thing. Well done. _________________ - Jim

JB Weld. i sawed off the 4"setting tang on the back as i didn't want a minor grill push-in to puncture the radiator. _________________ -dan
