Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever seen one of these accessory trunk light....the description says it works with a mercury switch. Pics and description of this would be great. How could one of these be made?

The light shown first in this topic is an original 60's version of the mercury switch light. Some 20 years ago I found this 50's version by SWF in a 53 oval thrashed in a junkyard. I thought it was cool but couldnt figure out why it worked intermittently until I realized it was designed to ride the front hood hinge and go on when the mercury makes the contact. Amazingly, it still works exactly as designed!! Pretty cool.
