I need to rebuild my seats. They have gotten wet in the past and the remains of uphoulstery kept the water in like a sponge. Springs are rusted through, as are the metal bands which hold them together and give the seat bottoms and backs their shape. Both seats, upper and lowers are pretty messed up. The frames are fine though.
I know the thing frames are different than bug, heavier duty, but are the spring sets the same as high or low back bug seats? Or are they different all together?

WHEN USING 65-67 BACK SPRINGS ,YOU WILL HAVE TO BEND THE CENTER BAR TO LINE UP SPRING& FRAME SCREW HOLES. YOU CAN ALSO USE 71-72 SPRINGS. MAKE SURE YOU USE PRE-FORMED PADDING SOLD BY THING SHOP OR WOLFSBURG WEST
