When installing back my headlights on my bus (original lights to the bus)
I found out that there was a small gap at the top and bottom of the chrome ring.
What could this be? Are the rings bend? Thanks!

i'm having a hard time installing some as well. can someone post a pic of the location of the clips? i think they are distorting the ring so it won't fit on the lip. _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

The chrome trim ring hooks over the tab on the body of the bus which is opposite the mounting screw location so you need to be sure that no spring clips are in the proximity. |

Nos ones mounted with some light slime on the chrome part will seat perfectly. Almost every aftermarket one does the pooch that you're having trouble with. Try adding some slimy thing to the chrome lip before and hit it with you fist top and bottom into the gap. |

Slimy thing? You mean vaseline or something like that?
Might try but it doesnt'seem to be stuck on anything.
BTW: these are the original headlights not aftermarket. _________________ www.volksfahrer.nl

A non oily hand cream. I use Windex sometimes but that could be disastrous to your fresh paint. Another favorite of mine is called Invisible Glove. It's the rubber gasket causing the problem. The og ones are sleek and thin and crisp and let the curl of the ring fit just perfect into the area. If you don't believe me then take out the gasket out and try the light. Some paint jobs goober the groove up with buildup so check that too as someone already suggested. |
