Had to adjust the rear a little..the tires would just rub if I hit a bump with my fat butt in it ...its a sad day..still have to drive it and see how it settles in..

Not happy at all..I need to have it between where it was and now..I guess I'll have to get adjustable spring plates..how many inches of adjustment do you get with them ?

Did you adjust inner AND outer torsion bar splines?
There are 40 splines on the inner end of torsion bar, 44 splines on outer end. So you carefully pull torsion bar from inner spline and rotate it just 1 spline in the direction you wish. Then, re-assemble spring plate to outer end of torsion bar 1 spline in opposition. That way you move 1/40th of 360° in desired direction, while undoing 1/44th of 360°, so you end up with only a very small adjustment, less than 1°. |

Depends on the torsion bars. I have gotten between 1 and 1 1/2 inch with adjustable SPs. What I do not like about them is the adjusting block is about dead on at the widest spot on the tire buldge, and if the tire is tucked in tight, it can hit and cut the tire.
But by using the inside up and outside down one spline each, you can lower it about 1/2 degree at a time. Which is about a 3/8 inch at the wheel to fine tune the height right in. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

can you space out the wheels a bit instead of raising it. maybe a 1" spacer?
or air shocks to adjust the ride height |

I've searched literally for days for the right combo wheels with offset i needed and couldn't find what i wanted. i wasn't paying out the ass for custom offset wheels so i am stuck with using spacers on mine for now, i think. went with a 5.5 offset front and rear with 2.5 front space. prob need least a 1" spacer on each. needed a 4.5 backspace and 3.5 front space.. nothing else i liked that met my needs.
you can probably get it dialed in with the inner torsion adjustments im guessing. but at least you have options |

Well it saddens me to say I will be selling my buggy. I have to many cars and need to thin my collection. I'm thinking $18,500.would be a fair price. if anyone is interested send me a PM. Serious buyers only please.
Thanks

I bought this buggy from Len, wow he did a great job!
Beside mount mirrors and add a little roll bar padding to the 2 bars above the riders heads I haven't had to do anything to it.
I have been driving it a bunch and love it very much! |

Glad to here you are enjoying the buggy. Yeah it was hard to do..the reason I sold it was I was not enjoying it. It was in the garage more then it was in the sun..besides it opened the way to refresh my vw bug that I built 20 + years ago..
Enjoy it and drive the piss out of it.. post some picks of you enjoying it
I'm still around ...lol
