Thesamba sould make a Hall of fame for these remarkable men that left us.
Genrich, Tazm, and i am sure others that were our friends here should have a special place here on Samba for us to remember them. A photo, some words should be enough.

Sad

I bought a tool box from Guido years back, & we became internet friends.

He invited me to stay at his home, & travel to Hannover with him in May.

Josje & Joerik, welcomed me into their home, like I was a long lost family member...

During the week I stayed with them, including traveling throughout Germany with Guido, I was truly humbled, by the warmth & kindness, they afforded me.

The places we visited, & friends I met, I will not soon forget.

Sadly, I have not seen them since..

With deep sadness, I will miss my old Belgian friend.

Erik

Very sad news indeed. Guido and I traded many e-mails regarding VWs and then about cancer when we both underwent chemotherapy in early 2009. I happily met him in person at Bad Camberg last year and was encouraged that his treatment seemed to be going very well. He went out of his way to find me and bring me some cherry beer that he wanted me to have.

I am saddened by this news, I had assumed he was doing well. He has left a favorable mark on this hobby.

Although I am away from home on vacation right now, I still that cherry beer in the fridge in my shop. When I get home, I will drink it in my shop and remember Guido.

To those in Europe close to him and and his family, please pass along my condolences and favorable memories.......

Sorry, but my english is very bad.

Just a few days ago I was cleaning the parts that I bought from Guido and we were all talking about the rare parts that the man from Belgium has. Now I heard that Guido has already left us. Sad
Life is so unpredictable and fragile. I will always remember the assistance he gave me. He will be missed. May he rest in peace
My condolences to the family.

I have just read this sad news about the loss of Guido. I too have purchased items from him in the recent past and always found him to be very helpful. Such a shame. Sad
