..it'll be a shame to miss the swapmeet ( awesome) but the show did little for me , last time & if they don't want us there, i'm not arsed about going.
HALF of it is the journey & being with your friends & other like-minded people; i like seeing a variety of vehicles & the rareties, but a museum ( which appears to be the effect they're looking for) is, to me, like a dealer's showroom, just with older cars.
We'll see what the score is, the other side of Christmas.. _________________ ....just cause you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there!.... |

I agree i think the last show wasn't as good as previous times i've been, and i was in two minds about going. I don't really need my bus to be pre-judged to park in a field...So i won't be going this time. _________________ 64 356 C Coupe |

restrictions for too rusty cars is nonsense and best way to end nice tradition of Bad Camberg show as show for all vw freaks
I hope that not only in my opinion original cars with signs of usage and rusty ressurections has much more charm than expensive restoration cars ...
driver of expensively restored car could be only rich but not vwfeak
but driver of rusty old looking cat is mostly pure vwfeak |

Same here! I am building my bus and shipping it over but I will be passing on Camberg. There are better shows to attend such as EBI. At least there you don't have to be discriminated against and you can enjoy the show with a bunch of like minded people from all over the world. And Chimay has some seriously kick**s beer. I was at the 07 Camberg event and it was my first time there and I can honestly say that there were a bunch of nice cars but the show as a whole was, in my opinion, over rated. There are plenty of great shows all around Europe that time of year so if any of you are planning a trip over, you shouldn't have a problem having a great time meeting new VW folks and seeing some incredible rides. |

There was plenty of space left at the 07 BC event so why are they now restricting buses to only 55 and older? It does not make sense. Rethinking about going now. |

only historical tuning will be allowed sorry, but what the f**K?!

all barndoors are allowed stock, slammed, wraked ones who cares..
next day, just check out the swamp meet at bad camberg. _________________ GermanRestoKommando

I'm pretty sure Camberg has always been for wartime cars / pre 57 bugs / lowlight Ghias / barndoor buses and coachbuilts to 67.
The 2007 meet was a bit of a wash out / mud bath don't forget which didn't help the show much. |

Just got my rejection:
Quote: |
thanks for your email.
If you have a look at our website www.lottermann-veteranen-treffen.de at "News",
meanwhile we have stated more precisely the conditions of participation.
That's why we can't register your Bus,
because it's not conform to the German TÜV regulations and won't get a German H(istoric) number plate.
Nevertheless, we would like to welcome you as a visitor.
Have a nice advent season,
Markus Lottermann |
so my '53 will not be there. Shame as it was quite well received there in 2007.
I think however that if I painted my bus I would get murdered in a dark alley _________________ To catch a fish, you must first think like a fish.... |

DId they give you a specific reason? Don't see paint mentioned, and yours isn't lowered |
