First off, for being a Type 3 guy by his own confession, I just cannot believe how F'ing anal retentive teh Tram is Very Happy This guy is going to get the most massIVe feedback post from carterzest/hugemanatee! He was still working on it until I finally pulled the trailer away....wait, one more thing......hey, I forgot something.........do you want this....do you need that.......I mean, Tram, STFU and let me take my GD truck home Razz

Just rolled the 57 home this afternoon....had no less than 100 thumbs up on the way home which was Uber distracting as I trailered it home...And I thought that my 181 got the looks Rolling Eyes
I had to go out to the garage and calm down the chatter as Rolf, my 181 who has a deposit on his head and will be going down the road soon, just would not accept the sharing of his man cave with Floyd, the new 57 SCab, named after his second owner since 1965 Shocked I am the third owner of a wonderful vehicle and I cannot sleep tonight YO!
Shitty pics and I apologize in advance...I have some photographing to do....

Disclaimer: do not knock the diamond plate...it was Lee.'s thing Wink

My son when he found out I was selling "The Green Car' was quite sad. He now realizes that in about 10 years, he will be driving the blue truck.. He told me he wants a pickup truck just like Daddy's. I suspect we have a Keysar on our hands....If I just needed a wrench to turn on this one...Dammit Tram!

Is it wrong to not want to leave the garage for the next 5 days Question Idea

Floyd is the wonderful Engineer that owned the truck for the past 35 years. It is only befitting that Dove Blue SCab be his namesake. Thanks Tram for incredible stewardship over an incredible vehicle Wink
Lets haul some gravel and yard debris.. after all, this is a work truck YES

Beautiful scab. my only suggestions are, please get some real tires on that thing, and get a correct mirror for driver side. Smile
other than that, drive the hell out of it. Cool

Ummm... these are the tires the ex- owner, the engineer used to haul all sorts of heavy stuff, and the mirror is stamped "VWOA" and has been on the truck since at least the '60s.

We always used to run these old Type 2s with these "unreal" tires since that's what they came with- either Continental bias plies or Michelin radials. So, what do you mean by "real tires"? Very Happy
