I didn't even know what you called it, but I've been wanting one for my little travel pots in the Westy- an ILSA Stove Ring Reducer. I just saw one for $8 at Rainbow Foods in SF. Has anyone tried these and confirmed they will sit securely while cooking? I tried searching and couldn't find anything.

We sell something in France for that that I can't find here:it'slike a cross with hooks on the end,you turn it and it clamps on the grill.
I thinbk your stuff will move if not carefull, but will work.
I'm actually saving a piece of bbq grill to make one
and convert the stove to gasoline
bye!
same idea,different than the one I was thinking,but similar: http://87.252.2.57:8090/eevad/grande-cuisine/piece...gtvc0i9r70 |

A cheap fix is to slide 1/4" ID copper tubing on each of the four bars. Fits perfect and allows you to put Italian coffee pots on there and whatever else. Each piece of copper is about an inch long or so. They tap on. |

Great idea. However, instead of putting one piece on each of the four bars, I just put one piece across the front and rear bars. No matter how you use it, this is a cheap, easy fix. I bought a 2 foot section at Home Depot for $1.49 with tax. I cut it carefully with a hacksaw and filed it, but a small pipe cutter would work better.
Thanks for the tip, Californio!

I grabbed 2 feet of copper 1/4 tubing at an ace hardware yesterday and it is quite a bit smaller ID than what is needed to fit on my 89 stove. It was only $1.05/ft so no harm. They only had 1/4" in coils sold by the foot that you can bend straight. Are the 1/4" pieces you used straight pieces? The guy told me they do not make 1/4" id copper in straight not bendable sections but you never know. |

Try a hobby shop. Most sell brass tubes that are straight. |

Yep, I got my 2' straight pieces at Home Depot, and they slid right onto my '87 stove grate. _________________ "See The Glass As Already Broken."

I tried that with mine but it didn't work?
Now maybe if we can get those boys from JACKASS to have a seat on a pair of heated up stove
grates they could brand each cheek of their ass with a nice VW, just sayin!
X3 on the these tough, they did work when I have used my Westys' stove. |
