I've been flipped through numerous pictures of semaphore cars and I'm still not 100% positive what color my semaphores should be.

Body color or black?

Original semaphores supplied with the car were body coloured. Semaphores supplied as spare parts were black.
The 2 Australian cars I have owned with semaphores still fitted when I got them were body coloured.

....So, I must be a dummy for not knowing that? This car is a very low mileage car with everything else OG, why would the semaphores get changed?

Nearly all the semaphore equipped beetles in New Zealand I have seen have them black, I have two 58's, a 56 and have wrecked a 57 and 59 that all had them black.
