The days had lingered, now shorter, and with the last gold and ruby leaf lying at the foot of her favorite tree, she sat on her wide porch taking in the magnificence of the first snows on the distant peaks across the inlet.
"That sure was a pretty car", she thought as she pondered the cute little green camper that snuggled the display window in the VW dealership she passed every day on her way home from the organic handmade pie shop she'd worked so hard to establish. She was well liked in her little town and everyone recognized her in her old Ford Falcon.
"I'm about to turn fifty and I should buy that pretty bus and take it out for adventure. I might even visit one of those 'happenings' or somesuch thing", she found herself musing. "I need new wheels and that thing just suits me". "I might even give a 'peace sign' or two if i drove that around town!"
...and so forth. |

At the age of 61, I've had a hard time imagining myself keeping the busses too much longer. WOW!! Am I stupid?
That's me in 32 years. _________________ Judy
