Where should the fuel filter go?

Have you taken the time to change out the in-tank screen first?

No. I will have to replace/reseal the entire tank anyway b/c of rust. So the idea is to replace/relocated the fuel filter, replace the fuel line at the same time that I do the tank.
I assume this can all be done at home without the use of a lift?

No lift needed, maybe a jack to lift the car up to get under it to replace fuel lines. USE JACKS STANDS if you jack it up. Cinder blocks or whatever ya got. These cars don't weigh much compared to some other vehicles, but they weigh enough to kill you if they fall.

Try to have close to an empty tank before pulling it. With a full tank, I'll break your back trying to get it out.

Here's a quote from another thread. Mine is in the same spot. I have zip ties to hold it from moving around.

This is what I did on my buggy. Nissan fuel filter with chrome coil mount....
