If that were my van, I'd be really hoping the tide was on it's way out!

HAHA...no worries..
That was high tide. If i could have been further up in the soft sand i would have. But i was risking getting stuck as it was. Thats padre island in texas. My wife and i cross the border and head north to corpus christi and camp there quite often. Lots of people camp right on the beach there.
There was even one fellow from california that had been living in his westy right on the beach for 6 months. If he wasnt worried then neither was i.

Yeah... sailboat porn! Keep it coming! 505 is a RIOT of a boat... not that the Laser is any slouch.

No, a riot is watching your passenger on a Hobie Cat 18 go flying around the mast because he failed to hook himself into the trapeze tether (true story!). Laughing

Mikey9 - the canvas windbreak at side of your van at Mull brings back childhood memories of grimly eating gritty sandwiches in the dunes, somewhat sheltered by smaller version of windbreak.

andy syncro-nutz - a namesake of mine died in Arisaig Smile

Snoop - where is that frozen lake?

cheers

Lake in the Woods, eastern Douglas Co. Oregon. Notable mostly for a nice southern exposure in winter, a few picnic tables to chill at and the nearby trailhead to Yaksu Falls.
