Hi you all, since we have a vanagons in the wilderness thread, I thought we could post some pictures of our beloved vanagons by the water. Post some pictures.

Not our vans, but rentals (www.alohacampers.com). It was too expensive to ship our van to Maui!
YMCA Camp Keanae, Keanae Peninsula, Maui, HI (Very, Very highly recommended)
Papalua Wayside, Maui, HI
YMCA Camp Keanae, Keanae Peninsula, Maui, HI
Kipahulu Campground, Haleakala National Park, Maui, HI
If anyone ever needs the 411 on Westy camping on Maui, just PM me. It's absolutely heaven on earth if you love these vans and camping in paradise. _________________ "See The Glass As Already Broken."

Nice thread idea. While digging for my water photos, I realized that there is no thread titled "Vanagons under a Bomber" Thread, so I must add this
But, then I found some
Just north of Seaside Oregon. I aired the tires down and was all ready, then, the voice of reason spoke right as another vanagon got towed out She won that day.
Then we went north to Astoria Oregon. These are from the Astor Column. John Jakob Astor was the founder of Astoria and this column depicts Lewis and Clarks Epic journey out West. We used to sail a race from Portland to Astoria and back years ago and I always used to rent bicycles and ride up the hill to this park.

Really nice pictures.
What kind of tires are you all running? I have summer tires and I would think you would need all terrain? _________________ 88 Wolfsburg Limited Edition Vanagon GL Tin Top

I had hankook a/t's. Good tires are important. I almost got stuck in the sand. Thank goodness for good tires. _________________ 89 Bostig powered syncro westy |
