Beautiful picture! Welcome to the Samba I have a picture of my van on the beach at MV as my background picture. Hoping to get back there this year, maybe you know of a secret spot a guy could park and camp for a night or two?

Andrew,
Thanks. Yah the island is a pretty special place for sure. I might know of a few spots. It gets tough in the summertime with all of the private beaches. That is one thing this island got wrong. somehow Nantucket managed to deem all of their beaches public access. Oh well. I've had decent luck camping out on Chappaquiddick. There aren't too many people out their, even in the summer time. The other spot would be down near lobsterville. You can always lean anfishing pole up against the van and the cops will just assume you're there fishing all nigh like many other people do. If you come out this way, drop me a line and I'll see what else I can come up with. Cheers. Nick |

This popped up on my windows 10 lock screen today via windows Spotlight! Kind of a coincidence that I spotted it, if it were not for my 22" monitor I probably would not have seen the Westy in the background!
Great start to my day, felt like ditching work and going camping haha.

Escaped the rare heat wave in Seattle and headed to the Washington coast with my son this weekend. Gorgeous weather and much much cooler. Found a nice spot to stealthily camp for the night on the the beach, gathered some drift wood and built a campfire Saturday night. This is the reason why I love these rigs. Good times relaxing with my son. Life is good....

From a few years ago, when we were living in the van, roadtripping around for 6 months when our kid was brand new, and my wife was on maternity leave from work.
Sweet spot up a hill in Big Sur. Some really rad camping spots there if you get off the highway and up into the hills.
One of the guys at Van Cafe in Santa Cruz gave us the lowdown on this spot.
