My car hasn't had an inside rear view mirror in it since I purchased it, so I don't really know what the attaching end looks like. Does anyone know which mirror I need? And, how does it attach to the windshield frame? It is a 1984 Mexican Beetle, probably similar to a 1973. Pictures would be really nice, if possible. My windhield frame has a square-ish 3 notched hole in it.
Thanks in advance,

I'm assuming it's similar to a post 72 US bug (as you mentioned). On my 72, there is a weird shaped opening in the metal just behind the windshield. The mirror has a weird cross shaped end that you set into the hole with the mirror 90 degrees from normal, then twist the mirror into place. The tabs on the cross on the mirror pull tight against the body, keeping it from vibrating. _________________ "In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be"
