After a couple inquires and requests for a short thread. I decided to start one for this 1967 21 Window.

This bus has been sitting in the Western States for the last 18 years. Which is kind of interesting considering slighlty before that time it had quite a bit of drivetrain work performed.

It was undercover and parked adjacent to a barn.

I will post pics as we clean it up. I am working my way around it starting with the exterior as it is the best feature.

Our goal is to drive it in a local cruise this weekend.

We havent done any waxing or polishing yet. Just a little specialized cleaner.

After a little work getting it on the trailer.

It has had one respray on the lower section and two small spots touched up on the white. The last paint was done in the late 80's and they did an incredible job matching the original paint. The underside has not been touched up.

A little before and after of the engine compartment. I ran out of time today, cleaned, pulled the motor and cleaned some more.

Most of what you are cleaning off the undercarriage is not dirt.....rather the OG cosmoline.

BTW what's the mileage on the speedo?

Nice find.....looks like an Arizona bus, quite common to see an undercarriage like that around here. Very Happy

Thanks!! It came from Southern Cal. Its a combo of dirt, cosmoline and some surface rust.

Gently removing all three.

Then we will apply a nice treatment to protect it.

Not sure on the original mileage yet. The speedo is low, but I have some investigation to do there.

Here is a shot of the dryer, part of the dealer installed A/C. I am missing the pump, but as soon as I saw the fan shroud I knew something was up.

I am getting a new product in which helps protect metal surfaces kind of like a wax. The paint is still very thick so there isnt much bare metal showing. If it works good and lasts I will pass on the product info. We are not painting it or applying a clearcoat.

We got this one just in time before anything started to develop, I just want to keep it that way!!!
