ok. don't laugh. this is the first time I've tig welded a body panel on.
it finally looks right... on one side at least!
I don't regret tig welding for this one, but I don't think I'll do it again any time soon. Its just too darn slow a process. Mostly because of my inexperience . I can tig weld on the bench great, but this is a whole different ball game. I contaminated my tungsten many times and on top of that the process is just slow. I had a bunch of burn through which I had to fix. I ended up just mig welding some of the holes and that was sooooo much faster and easier. i'll say this though, the cleanup is much faster than with mig. mig is quick and dirty. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia powered by Subaru

Here's a bet that there are only a handful of people that have followed through on the pursuit you have. |

I'll likely go with Pearl white over dove blue. |
that should look pretty good. almost as good as straight up dove blue top and bottom _________________ regards

All dove blue is my second option. I might do the interior in dove blue... Not sure yet _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia powered by Subaru

All dove blue would be a nod to what it started out as. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Dove blue is a great choice, especially considering the bus history, but my vote is two-tone, something like this:
