Hey, don't judge all of us like that. I like them even though I've never seen one in the metal.

A fair number of the DIY "modified" vans on this site are fugly as hell, so I wouldn't sweat one guy's uninformed opinion about your professionally prepped RV.

probably just rests over the door- not attached at the top.

Not saying it makes sense to have it on the driver's door, or from a design standpoint, but seems like that's why it would be there.

It looks like there are fasteners at the bottom, into the door.

If someone figures out the how/why of this, please post.

They make shit RVs. Karmanns are premium quality. My dad just bought an '09 Road Trek SS Agile RV on a Sprinter chassis. It's miles above Winnebago in quality, but still not quite Karmann

Looks like it's been a junkyard and the springs and bottom rusted out.

At least it might have been a Tintop (which would have made more sense?). Poor Westy...

Well I don' t know anymore. At first I thought no, but now I can see it as a sleeper. Limo tint, bring it down a couple inches and make its body glow.

Sunroof maximus. 4 of them on this van. Kinda cool. I wonder what the interior airflow would be?
