I cannot believe that someone would leave those wires hanging out of the harness boot like that .
It is a good thing you spotted that glaring over site.

This is already my favorite post on the samba. I'll have to see if I can come up with some appropriate photos.

That orange one is ridiculous. I can't see why anyone would spend the time/labor necessary to make such a non-functional vehicle.

That blue one is awesome. I remember when it was posted before that it is turbo-diesel powered. I imagine that it gets better fuel economy and has a better power to weight ratio than any stock-engined vanagon. He can drop the legs of the camper and drive away with the truck. Why would you remove the door handles and marker lights? Without the door handles it would be much harder to open the doors. I imagine the marker lights are also functional considering there is an extra one added on the side there. The paint looks great. Wheel wells would look better smoothed out, but if I wouldn't bother as it looks great to me the way it is. The only issue I have with it is it looks like the support for the awning is in the way of the front door opening when the awning is retracted.

It seems like most of us are trying to combat the effects of age, not get the weathered/faded look on purpose.....
