Does anyone have a photo of the spare tire under the front seat of a 68/69 single cab pickup? Mine didn't come with one and I"m curious how it mounts and if there is any hardware I'm missing to secure it.

Also, is it the same size as the other four? I'll need to pick one up so if you have a spare for sale, let me know (I'm in SoCal).

Thanks.

I don't have a pic but it's just another 5x205 14" bay bus wheel, it just sits in the well under the seat, no mounting or hardware required. The only challenge is shoving all the seatbelts to the middle of the seat so you can tip the outer end up enough to get the tire in or out

I guess that makes it easy. Seems like it will be a tight fit but we'll see.

Now to find a spare rim/tire!

One more question... is the stock rim from for a 68 bay 14x5.5? I found some 14x7 for sale but those sound too wide.

Edit: Looks like they are 5.5 wide - 5JK x 14 is apparently the exact code so I know those 14x7 won't work.

heres the one under the seat of my 69SC. as for rim you need to be measuring your rims bead to bead not to the outside edge. the stock 14 wide 5 bus wheels are 5 inch and the later small 5 hole are 5.5 inch.

Bigbore... thanks for the picture as it really helps. I just picked up four 5 wide rims off a 69 bus with the stamping 5JK x 14 on them so I think I'm good to go.
