I think that's a decent score in anyone's book. Especially when you figure in the not so distant future, condition like this won't be a reality and the scraps left will be lapped up like gold juice. _________________

That definitely looks like some complete interior that will clean up nice.

Funny I had the same question when he first sent me pics that day, but I forgot to investigate when I was at the bus. Will try to get a closer pic and post. _________________ You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. Got a quick reply from Ryan. It s an electrical switch that a PO added to run the water pump. He said its hacked in and the wires lead down back towards the pump. _________________ You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. I found these 2 years ago. There were two 21 windows that were plucked before I got there. I just finally decided to go back and buy the remaining 4 buses. 3 1970 models and a 64. They all sit down a mile long goat path driveway from hell. All the drums are frozen! I will most likely wait till next year to extract them because it's already snowing here!
Some of the parts I pulled before we went home. _________________ 1971 Chianti Red Westfalia x2

I'd fill the Split & the best Bay w/ all the "Good" parts from the others & call it good....
It is getting harder to find ANY old Buses, Split or Bay Buses, bring home what you can now, they are disappearing....... _________________ Tom

I plan on bringing them all home eventually. Its just going to be a long arduous process of pulling all the drums and gutting the brakes so I can gently tow them out. Next time I go back I'm definitely pulling more parts! It helps now that it's cold, they dont stink as bad and the hornets are all dead. _________________ 1971 Chianti Red Westfalia x2

Oh sh*t, I've seen that before but I can't remember where or what it was, it's a Euro only deal, go have a look. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I would have been more interested in the table inside under the window, everyone has windows, tables are getting rare. You might want to go back for a look before the weather gets to it now that the side of the bus is open. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I bought this bus about a month ago. it was sitting under a shed and was originally an Arizona bus, so it is pretty rust free. |
