Viewing those lovely photos makes me wonder which I would prefer, ...
e... either one of those Beautiful Karmann Ghias, or a very large stake in a brick retailing firm. |

Took her out for a sponge bath and a couple laps around the block. The Paradise, CA fire up north has covered our sky in smoke... Makes for some interesting pictures.

Too busy admiring your beautiful Ghia to notice the sky; while the paint is a silky smoke color, I hope you're well away from any fires. The work you did fitting the wheels turned out great: they really fill the wheel wells nicely, and the absence of mirrors and antenna really adds to the sleekness. You may have stated somewhere in your thread, but what type of headlights are those? How is the ride? Did the neighbors turn out to cheer? |

Thanks Crocteau,
The headlights are SPEC-D Switchback LEDs. The halo is white with running lights, and an amber turnsignal (switchback). The headlights are VERY bright at night. Very pleased with my purchase. The car is rather smooth driving, especially after grinding down the rear body mounts that the rear wheels were rubbing going around turns. The real test will be next weekend when I get the rear air ride assembly installed. The car is a head turner for sure, have only cruised the neighborhood so it hasn't been on a true outing. _________________ My 70 beetle was totaled Now to build the Ghia I always wanted. Very well thought out; I like how it has come together. |

A+, go to the goody box and pick a prize
This picture sums up the car for me. It's hard to point to one thing because everything you have done has been individually very well executed, and when combined, gives the car a very modern look while clearly remaining a classic. Tully inspirational and worthy of a self-pat on the pack.
Go forth and cruise with pride.

Your Ghia is absolutely beautiful! I love the color and wheel choice but I'm a tad bit biased. |

My '63 convertible. Color is Emerald Green. Mostly finished up this summer but still a punch list of small stuff to do. |

Still sporting the wrinkled drivers door from THAT car show. I have found someone I trust to repair it (maybe). Rest of car still sporting that 1993 paint job... She's been put to bed for the winter and about ready to get put up on jack stands and tore apart for some new mods.....

Just imagine, there's a whole generation out there that wouldn't have an effing clue why those wheels are known as Porsche Phone Dials.
Well at least they should be able to see just how fantastic that style of wheel looks on a Karmann Ghia (... or whatever that unusual little car that they've never seen or heard of before is called). |

Jeff, we appear to have at least three things in common ...
- we both apparently have the same excellent taste in vintage Karmann Ghias
- we both were born in the same great year, ... which unfortunately makes us both as old as dirt
- we both can be very thankful that we aren't as old as iowegian!
How about that absolutely Gorgeous Emerald Green color and stunning interior of Jeff Pyzyk's '63 Karmann Ghia Cabriolet! |

Jeff,
Agree whole heartedly!
Though we shouldn't beat on Iwowegian too much, since we are getting to his age level....in about 40 years!!
Plus it's still cool to pick away at the remaining brain cells to gather as much info about our Ghias as possible, before we lose all knowledge.

Thanks guys. The Vintage Speed products are very nice quality. The rack was actually given to me...a friend plucked it out of a yard sale for $10 and passed it on since they didn't own a KG to fit it to. |
