Lowlight Karmann Ghias are a rarity in the UK.
To have one in the village is very unusual...to have two is unheard of.
That's what we have...Nick's Trout Blue '56 and my Black '58 on a bright day in a favoured location this week.

I'm happy to be the next care taker of this beautiful 1968 Regatta Blue Cabriolet. There's plenty of nicks and
scratches but they don't show up much in photos. It is mostly all original with only 22,350 miles. It still has it's complete
original tool kit and even the spare looks original. The crack free dash laminate and pads appear original as welll.

One of the few Karmann Ghias in Malta, there are around 14 in all. In the last couple of years around 8 have been imported the majority being 72-74 models.
Mine is a US Import 1971 model, originally shipped in California.
.
The oldest convertible is a lowlight, which is still in very good condition and used regularly _________________ 63 Beetle

One of my first ventures into the forums section! Folks have been requesting info about my cars, so here is the latest. She's a two owner 1961 Pacific convertible sporting 41k original miles. Original sales documents, manual, top manual,Sapphire 1 owners manual, original VW touch up paint, sales docs of the second owner who purchased the car in 1982, when it had 28k miles, for $4000. The car had one repaint by the second owner around 1982. He owned a body shop and I received pictures while he was painting the car. Obviously he "updated" the side view mirrors to 70's style, but other than that the body is void of any rust or major repairs. Interior is original although I believe he re-touched the hydrate green features. Seats, carpets, mats and door cards all original. More pics as time allows!

The car by itself is such a treat, but to add all that documentation and history is just so rare.
Great looking car and these older interiors are so beautiful. _________________ Marc

My recent BAT purchase... have to hide this baby for 8 more months until my wife's 50th. Been sneaking over to storage and driving it every few days in the meantime.
