Watch that door against the brick. Car looks way to nice to scratch at this point. _________________ -Greg |

Thats correct in that picture there is no longer a brace. Thats because I made a rookie mistake and removed the brace that I built before confirming everything lined up and doors shut ok. There's a big chunk of time between those two pictures and the reason you see no heater channel is because I just removed it. I had to use a come-a-long to pull the body into the right spot for a perfect door gap.
Door shuts great now, just had to install the pass heater channel twice. I hope no one else makes the same dumb mistake I did.
Here's the brace I made and welded to the body (sorry for the poor quality):

The first separation...
Pan stripping...
Deciding to re half the pan and go through the whole thing after discovering some bullshit...
New pan halves...
Motor and pan assembled and ready for body...
body back on...

This was when they began drifting apart:
I wouldn't call it a divorce. It's more of a temporary estrangement while they each work on resolving their own issues.

Ain't that the truth? It was 112* in my garage several days last week. When it hit 105* outside, I didn't even bother going out. Too hot is too hot. |

First time we seperated the body and the pan(we didn't lift it with the tractor, we lifted it off with a pulley system we setup like most do, just took it outside to wash it):
Going back to the body for the second time:
Its going to be separated one more time and then back together forever. Going to paint the pan then stick the body back to it. And done...with body work anyway. |

During the reconciliation period
Coming back together for the first time in 2 years
