Added a GPS enabled Stereo while leaving the stock 6v AM radio that works in the dash. The door closes and the dash looks stock.

Hope I can throw this in. Its for my dual carbs. The round shaft was boring looking plus the cable connection was too close to the left carb for my setup, so I used 2 auger bits and cut the to allow my cable to pull straight. I cut off the square ends of the bits and fit them into the original ends.
Polished them and sent the out for chrome.

Not sure this is in keeping with the thread theme; isn't this just an advertisement? Very nice nonetheless.

The snubber holder rotted off long ago, I took a nut and bolt and built up brass using a acetylene tourch.

Instead the original beetle horn holes.
It is my own interpretation of the stamped Koch grills, but these are solid, not stamped metal..

Made my own fuse box opening cover for use with my EZ wiring harness/fuse block.
Not bad for my first go at using my new Eastwood bead roller.

That's a good idea. Mounting to an existing bolt. I was thinking of mounting one of these with a toggle switch and wondered how to mount it. cool.

Made some parts to mount a supercharger on my 1385. Also changed some parts ( the 009 doesn't go to full advance ). Nothing fancy. didn't even grind the tack welds. More concerned with making it work.
The rag was there because the carb was leaking fuel after I shut down. I finally figured there was still suction there after shut down. So now when I turn off I give it a good blip !

From the first page... This is cool. With the bamboo tray down there it will make it so much easier to get to the lever quickly. It goes on the to do list.

I made my own outer window scraper out of some garage door seal some 35 years ago and installed on my old but still nice aluminum trim pieces, still looks good and seals the water out, much longer lasting than the stock rubber which had rotted away.

Nice Craftsmanship!

Take it a step further...

...create a proportionally matching feature for the bare, left side of the speedo that both blends in and fully compliments the right as if the Factory themselves did it Wink

I read this on some VW site "You know you're a redneck if you shop at Home Depot for VW parts". Made me laugh because I run to Home Depot, Lowe's and Walmart often to pick up something for my Bug.
