In cleaning up my calipers, I note there are two orifices in the piston chamber for fluid from the lines to push on the pistons. One of the orifices is clear and I can push a wire down into it and far out of my sight so I'm happy I've got it cleaned. The second orifice I can not clear. This second one appears to be a false hole that was only drilled deep enough to cause my question.

Can someone confirm that this is so? I'm literally at the workbench ready to rebuild the calipers but if these are supposed to be open then I'm going to toss them as I cannot clear them. It's an 87 and these appear originals - Girlings. Thanks!

Score - why didn't I think of that. Was a fleck of crud strong enough to resist my mouth pressure on the opened bleeder valve. Got a wire through it from the other side. Both are clear now. Thank you!!
