Well im fixing up an old 1970 beetle and would like if anyone could help make up my mind on what I can do to it?? To "custum the hell out of it" from top to bottom?? With out fixing it up to its original condition.. I have like over 2,000 pics of VW or so of vw beetles.. So I have alo of ideas but need help desideing how to do mine?? Make sure that your brass fuel inlet is secure on the side of your carb. Sometimes they wiggle out. Some people like to 'safety wire' this inlet to the carb. It is a major cause of engine fires. Also, make sure fuel filter is secure with hose clamps, and that all fuel line is pliable and uncracked. I run my fuel filters in between the tank and the pump, not in between the pump and the carb. Preventative Maintenance is a must! |

woops! That was in a response to your other post. Nobody can help you make up your mind on what you want to do to your car. But, be aware, to 'custom the hell' out of a car, also may lower it's value. I would suggest not doing anything to your rare car that cannot be reversed, as in 'unbolted'. |

I agree. I'm customizing an oval, but I can reverse all I'm doing to it in case I or a possible next owner want it to be original. save all your original parts, just in case. |
