Well, since my son has been working on his Baja, I ended up getting one too. A good friend of mine is going into the Air Force and offered me a deal that I couldn't pass up for his Baja.
It's a '64 Baja (I believe) that is sitting on a Type 2 frame and suspension. My friend built most of this when he was in high school. It also has a full cage. Currently it has a 3-rib Bus trans and no motor. I am going to transfer everything over from my sandrail. Including a 2.3 liter Ford Turbo EFI motor.
Should be a fun project! More pics soon... My daughter and I picked it up last weekend:
