Our 1986 Volkswagon Vanagon CAUGHT on FIRE! The interior was spared but the engine is history. Make on offer for the whole van or buy parts. Seats, bench, steering wheel, shifter, seatbelt. It is all there! Please don't let this beauty go by the way side. Buy it and restore "him" to its original cruising grandeur!

We lost another one... Sad

86 Vanagon GL, 103K miles with a few minor dents but no real rust. PO hear a "POP!" as he was walking towards the house, he turned to see flames dripping from under the engine and smoke pouring out the side vents. He grabbed a nearby garden hose and by some miracle he was able to put the fire out but...

Ever wondered what an Idle Stabilizer looks like inside?

This was a clean low mileage van that was owed by a young family with 3 kids that usually rode mear inches away from where the fire started. It happened in their driveway and fortunatly no one was injured. Please check your fuel hoses and related parts regularly!

Was this in San Jose California several years ago? If it id I have the engine in my '89 bluestar and the rest of the van in the back yard, that was quite the stinky mess!

Reminds me of the picture of bradys flipped syncro. Both classic pictures. Wish I could find it.

This was one of my parts vans. Bought and sold it like this...
