I remember seeing a thread a couple years ago about the emergency flasher switch's 88. I havent been able to find it. It was very interesting and have wondered if that mystery was ever solved or will ever be solved.

It's the terminal number.

Like on this horn relay. Terminals 30, 85, 86 and 87
