Hello all
I am new to ghias and have a few questions.

Is there suppose to be a inner fender peice that keeps mud and other debris from going towards the door?

Is there suppose to be a panel on either side of the engine compartment?

Is there suppose to be a gap between the rear seat back rest and the wheel well arch area?

I know this car is missing some parts and was wondering if any place other than KGP has parts for them, having a hard time finding interior for it.
The Ghia is a 65 and so far have found that it is beat up but absolutly no rust Laughing other than some small spots on the pan.

Yes.

There is sound deadening there from the factory.

Better shoot some pics and put them up, you'll get more responses.

Good Luck!

question 1 yes. They get mud plates, each with seals on the outsides.

question 2 No vertical panels on the engine compartment although many people fabricate custom covers to hide the well area.

Not sure about question 3. cargo space? yes.

Places for parts: cip1 , house of Ghia , airhead parts, , plenty more.

Goodluck !

I think they did come with tar-board panels.

mattpeace, where are you? At least State and major city, it will help us direct you to "local" parts suppliers. There are several in the North East but not very well known. They provide decent parts and service. If you are in California or other Western State, they would be of no interest to you.

Yes, it's so you can feel around without folding the seat down, and see if there are any kids hiding back there Wink

Seriously though, the gap is normal. I only mention kids because my youngest likes climbing into the rear luggage compartment and pulling the seat up.
