I needed to pull the spindles off so I could adjust the Wagenswest beam to it's highest position. Did that and now I'm trying to put the spindles back on but can't get the two ball joints in to their respective holes. Bentley shows a tool to lift up the torsion arms to assist this procedure, is this tool for sale somewhere or is there another way to get this done?

1968 bus, WW beam/drop spindles.

Thanks.

I use a floor jack CAREFULLY but since this is on a modified beam maybe best to ask in the right place. Try using the lowering sticky.

I tried using the floor jack on the bottom torsion arm after putting the spindle in the top ball joint but it still didn't line up enough to get the bottom one in. This is the starting point of my torsion arms before attempting anything:

The problem seems that I need to raise both torsion arms at the same time but both are under a lot of tension.

Thanks for the help.

Ask Wagenswest how to do it. And post in the lowering sticky. All of the info here is related to stock beams with the stops.
