During the early post-war period there were a number of changes made to the Beetle fan housing. I am trying to pin down exactly when these changes occurred....
Question 1: When did the coil move from the rear of the fan housing to the front? (my best estimate would suggest late '46).
Question 2: When was the Summer/Winter lever introduced? (Apr '47 perhaps?)
Question 3: When was the slotted generator mounting plate discontinued?
These questions have been bugging me for months and I won't get a good night's sleep until they're answered satisfactorily, so please help.
