That's a cool looking little 914. I loves me some 914's in need of a little help. What state is it located in? |

Dr. Scope,
That dude doesn't like people posting pics of his place, you might want to take these down. |

Here's a little stash I picked up here in EDMONTON, AB. The chance of finding anything 356 this far remote is pretty slim so I was stoked! The guy who sold me these parts used to have a 59 Cab and a 62 Super. The rarity of 356's in this area and back in the day? Almost inconceivable!

Most project 356's come with an 'engine case' or something similar so that's what I did. I got enough parts for almost 2 engines. One a 1959, and one a 912? I used the rear drums (they are in perfect shape, perfect lining!)
The engine parts cleaned up really nice Just missing bearings and gaskets.
And the drums...
My car had no seats, and ta da! Seats in EDMONTON, how crazy is that?! The rest of the stuff I don't know what to do with. They are all over the shop that I rented _________________ "There is only one sin; disconnection from self." |

Pretty soon you'll have enough to build your own 912. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

This was a crazy week, I drive all the way to the coast to pick up a Roadster only to be turned away, so made the best of it, got a Lobster sandwich and went to the beach to read a book, and went home. The next day got the call, come back tomorrow, bring money, and don't be late. So here I was, back in Cape Cod, except this time I had a Roadster, and I got another Lobster sandwich to celebrate.
And before you send the email, this one was like a Nick Cage movie, Gone in 60 Seconds, it sold before I made it off the Cape.
She cleaned up nicely once I got her back to Unobtanium HQ, much like a lot of the women out there, ugly when you pick them up, but a little clean up and they don't look half bad. |

The older fellow finally gave me a price. The taillights are all that's missing. I hate fishing for "what it's worth", as I don't have much interest is this car. So how decent of a split bus should I be able to trade this for? |

Imposible to say without more info/pics. How badly rusted is it? That will make a huge difference in price. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

This is one of about 9 or so I found last April while mushroom hunting. (In addition to about as many 914s)
At the time I had no idea what 356s were worth and I did not ask about his plans for them. Will be back around that area again next April probably.
What do you think the value is as it sits? The steering wheel is worth the most i'm guessing. I couldn't believe it was basically the only part not removed.
Open to the elements, no glass or doors.
Did not have a lot of time to check them out so I don't know what their conditions are. I spent about 5 quick minutes to take some pictures and admire them.
You can see a little more of that first one in this picture also.
