Trying to remove the cigarette lighter(s) from the dash.
I have the glove box out and can get my hand up behind the socket but can't feel anything that is holding it in place. I can spin them but they don't unscrew from a housing like typical US units do.
I believe they are the stock units with the green plastic ring around them.
Does anyone know the trick?

The stock cigarette lighter is held in with metal barbs, which must be bent inward in order to remove the lighter.
I have some photos and other info here, as well as instructions to replace the lighter with a USB charger:

Hope this helps! _________________ Camp Westfalia
