Here is our short documentary of what it was like at the first ever Descend on Lost Sierra. This is put on by the same fantastic team that does Descend on Bend and they hope to make this an annual event as well. This was a very chill event with lots of first time Descenders and a large variety of vehicles. The music was amazing and the setting was perfect.
Sorry if you would rather read a trip report but I think a video does a better job in showing you the atmosphere and feeling you get by being there. I will continue to do write ups for our camping adventures though.
And no I will not pay you $5 to click on it as I do not even get paid for these

Looked like fun. Bummed I missed after promoting it. But I had to work Sat. And it was too far for the remaining weekend.
Still stoked to Descend in a couple months.

Usually go to Wellington Lake and do this:
But this year I was going to weasel out of that to go to Moab and do this:
But then one of my best friends decided to get married (again) on the Saturday of Labor Day ON THE DAY OF THE FIRST LSU GAME. He went to CU and therefore has no sense of Fall Saturday etiquette.
So Labor Day weekend is a bit of a bust. I'm sure there's a lemonade from lemons angle that I haven't considered yet, but it's not making itself apparent just yet.

Look at it this way, you have lots of options and people that want to spend time with you

Really enjoyed the video, especially the last bit. One of my favorite things about the poptop is the warmth of it's glow at night across the woods, and the narrator's goal of describing the simple joy of being worry free in a group of kind people...achieved.
