A friend of mine has a single port engine and an autostick trans.
The carbs throttle shaft is leaking pretty bad so she needs a new carb. What carb can she use?
I think I remember Auto-stick carbs having an extra vaccum port?
Anyone know what can be used and where she might be able to get one?

Another question.
Its a '69 and also needs a new complete wiring harness.
Being an Autostick do they make those harnesses anymore? If so where can we get one?
Any help would be great, thanks.

Hiya Doug,

First off know this............. AutoStick carburetors are different that their manual transmission brothers. Yes, they do have an extra vacuum port among other changes. However, a standard (for example) 30PICT3 can be converted for use on an AutoStick by a a talented and careful tech. Probably much better to buy an AS specific 30PICT3 from kiefernet right here at the Samba.

There are no AutoStick specific wiring harneses of which I am aware. But a common approach is to buy a 69 standard wiring harness and then simply add in the AS portion of the harness that one might need.
